A successful morning of shopping.

Love, and LOVE.

Love, and LOVE.

Oh, beautiful Pinstripe Blazer and Lace Bib Swing Top, you now belong to me. You will be in my hands by next Monday. Even though I wanted you in Navy, oh cute little top, you will do quite nicely in Cream. I can wear you with nearly everything in my closet.

This reminds me. I’ve yet to show the world my purchases from the shopbop.com sale! A picture explosion later.

You know you cannot resist this sale!!

Sale?!!? I am SO THERE.

Ends at 11:59PM TONIGHT. Do it.

I just bought my first Tory Burch clutch. I’d link you to it. But now it’s sold out. Oops. Pictures when it is in my hands in 5-7 business days. I am ecstatic.

No, you aren't what I really wanted.

October 21, 2008 – 11:15 am by Patricia

The aubergine tights arrived. And brown. The brown boots and Jessica Simpson pumps are going back to the store.

They were poor excuses for what I really wanted, which is a dark brown heeled ANKLE bootie and a black NON-patent leather peep-toe ankle bootie. Not a pump.

I hate it when I lie to myself when I go shopping. I say to myself, “Yes, Patricia, you will find something in your closet to wear with these. They are adorable!” And then I go home, only to crush all hopes and dreams for these new items and to realize that I was fooling myself.

Retail Therapy, Session 1

Indulged myself a little bit today… and I am feeling damn good about it.

L to R: Jessica Simpson's Nichola, Aldo's Roxann.

I already have an ankle boot oxford, but now I’ve been wanting a peeptoe oxford for a while. I’m usually really, really picky with shoes, and it takes me forever to hop on the bandwagon with a lot of shoe fads because of this. I want to make sure the fad lasts — and oxfords and slouchy boots have been around, and I’m glad they will be around for a little while more.

The slouchy boot fad has taken me even longer to tolerate, and now it’s grown on me. My previous aversion to it was due the width of a lot of the boots being released. Since I have short legs, all a wide boot opening would do is make my legs looks even shorter and seemingly swallow me up! These Aldo shoes were cheap, and also, the fit of the boot opening was just right — not too fitted, but not overly slouchy… I think my Fall/Winter shoe buying is over. Until at least December. Or if I find a new pump, which is next on my list.

I’m also surprised I gave in and bought a Jessica Simpson shoe. I’ve been avoiding them forever, but I have to admit some of her shit is really cute. *sighs* Oh well. I guess I have to join the dark side sometime.

Burn N' Violet shirt from Metropark

Burn N' Violet shirt from Metropark

MetroPark is one of my favoritest stores. I love the shit they have there, and the staff that works there recognize me instantly. Their selection is a nice departure from my usual basic, solid color classic pieces, and gives me just enough metal hardware, grunge/urban/punk/goth/crazy/whatever-the-fuck-it-is that I need. This shirt is sooo awesome. It’s totally me, and yet, not at all: a little bit of lace (what?), jewels (yes!), metal hardware (YES!), and then… a slutbag torn-up back (this is he wtf? moment). It’s a great combo for me, and will look awesome with my Prague wash Sevens… muahahahaha. It’s always great to wear new clothes. Let the fun commence.
